Try These DIY Air Conditioner Repair Solutions Before You Call Us

  • Your Air Doesn’t Get Cool Enough. Does it feel like the air circulating through your home is always a little bit warm and never cool enough, regardless of what you set the thermostat at? Before calling us for air conditioner repair, change your air filters. When your filters get clogged with debris, pet hair, and other contaminants, your system won’t be able to work as efficiently or as effectively.
  • One Room is Always Hot. If you have a room that is always hotter than the others, it may just be that this room receives more direct sunlight or has more windows than other areas in your home. During peak sunshine hours, try closing the blinds and curtains in this room. Consider planting shrubs and trees outside of this room to block some of the sun and keep this part of your home cooler.
  • Your Electric Bill is Always High. If your electric bill has suddenly skyrocketed during the summer months, your first instinct may be to call us for air conditioner repair. Although you may need repairs, you could also have gaps in your doors and windows letting out cooled air. Or, you may not have enough insulation in your attic and walls to keep hot air from getting in. You may want to check your home’s insulation levels and seal any gaps with weather stripping and caulk first before you assume your AC’s function is at fault.
